Discover, OUTsurance, Miway, AA Insurance, Momentum, Alexander Forbes and Mutual & Federal provide the best insurance for motorists, according to Carinfo recent annual research.
As sourced from a comparison analysis on customer reports filed on the popular consumer website hellopeter.com.
For the third year running, Carinfo.co.za, a website that offers information about the car industry, including reviews and free online car insurance quotes, collected information on the views of ordinary people based on the service they received.
The research looked at the total number of reports the car insurance companies received over the past 12 months.
The 22 companies in the comparison analysis were then divided into two groups. Those with more than 500 reports were labelled the ‘bigger’ companies, while those with less than 500 reports were called the ‘smaller’ companies.
They were then ranked on a point system by looking at complaints and compliments based on the following 5 categories:
– Feedback/response,
– Repairs/servicing,
– Billing/accounts,
– Call centre and
– Breach of contract
Discovery came top of the list in the ‘big’ company category, followed by OUTsurance and MiWay.
AA Insurance came out tops among the ‘small’ companies, followed by Momentum and Alexander Forbes and Mutual & Federal in joint third place.
